We all love video games, but have you ever wondered what it might be like to make a game?
Over the last 8+ years livestreaming on Twitch, I played and showcased SO many games. The more I worked with developers and publishers, the more I got to see behind the scenes. It only made me hungry to learn more.
Just a few months ago, I was hired as a full-time employee for Ascendant Studios, an incredible, super experienced dev team working on a AAA, single-player first-person magic shooter! Not only do I get to see SO MUCH MORE of what goes into making games than ever before, I get to share it with you all via this vlog series!!
Join me on my journey as I help showcase our amazing team – as well as other talented and experienced developers – through our podcast, work on the marketing campaign with our awesome publishing partner, and experience the insanely creative process of making Immortals of Aveum™ – a AAA game that I can’t wait to play and share with you.

IMMORTALS OF AVEUM ANNOUNCED AT THE GAME AWARDS
In case you didn’t catch the show, we announced our debut game, Immortals of Aveum, (pronounced ay-vee-um) earlier this month at The Game Awards! Made by the creators of Call of Duty and Dead Space, Immortals of Aveum is set in an original fantasy universe engulfed in magic, rife with conflict, and on the verge of oblivion.
Check out this page to get a glimpse of our single-player magic shooter.
STAY IN TOUCH
There’s lots more to come from Ascendant Studios. I host our original podcast series, Rise Above, which delves into the world of video game development through candid conversations with some of the industry’s leading devs. Season 1 arrives in 2023, but you can check out our pilot episode on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Castbox, Stitcher and more.
Until then, check our blog often and follow us on YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to keep up with our game, as well as all of our other exciting content. Also consider subscribing to our newsletter, The Standup, for insights and inspiration from industry-leading developers who are masters of their craft.
